Welcome! Here is everything you need to setup and customize your Sniegauu® Video Crystal Ball.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Compatibility Notice

Please Read Before Use:

Windows Only: File transfers must be done on a Windows Computer.
No Mac Support: Do not connect this device to a Mac computer. Doing so may cause the device to freeze or malfunction.
File Requirement: Videos must be in MP4 format with H.264 codec to play correctly.

How to Add Videos (Windows Only)

Connect: Ensure the Orb is turned OFF. Connect it to your Windows PC using the provided USB-C cable.
Detect: Your computer will recognize the Orb as a removable drive (USB Disk).
Transfer: Open the drive and find the folder named “video”. Drag and drop your prepared MP4 files into this folder.
Finish: Safely eject the device, unplug, and turn it on to watch!

Video Editing Tutorial

How to Prepare Your Videos for the Orb
To ensure your videos look perfect on the round display, we recommend using CapCut (Desktop Version) on Windows.

Step 1: Project Setup

Open CapCut and create a New Project.
Import your desired video clip.

Step 2: Set Aspect Ratio (Crucial)

Add the video to your timeline.
Click the “Ratio” button under the preview window.
Select 1:1 (Square).

Step 3: Resize & Position

Important: Click and drag the edges of your video to enlarge it.
Make sure the video fills the entire square frame. If black borders remain, the video may not play correctly on the Orb.
Center your subject in the middle of the frame.

Step 4: Export Settings
Click “Export” and ensure these exact settings are selected:

Resolution: 480P (480×480)
Format: MP4
Codec: H.264
Frame Rate: 30fps

Step 5: Transfer
Copy the exported file into the “video” folder on your Sniegauu Orb.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

My computer doesn’t recognize the device.

1. It can take 3 to 30 seconds for the computer to detect the drive.
2. Try a different USB port.
3. Ensure you are using the data cable provided in the box.

My Video Orb won’t play the video I uploaded.

Please check the following:
1. Is the file in the “video” folder?
2. Is the file format MP4 with H.264 codec?
3. Did you resize the video to fill the entire 1:1 frame?

The device froze or won’t play videos at all.

If you connected it to a Mac or if the file system is corrupted, follow these reset steps:
1. Connect the Orb to a Windows computer.
2. Right-click the removable drive and select Format.
3. Once formatted, open the empty drive.
4. Create a new folder and name it exactly: video (all lowercase).
5. Copy your video files into this new folder.

The device won’t power on.

1. Check if the battery is charged.
2. Use a standard DC 5V charger (plug into a computer or standard phone block).
Note: There is no charging light when the device is off. Turn it on to see the battery status on the screen.
